Salsa Celtic Fusion

Heh. Wed is over! haha. it's my longest day of school.. but well.. i only have 2 days of school this term :P

Anyway, just spent my evening watching salsa videos on youtube, and interestingly, this is my first time doing so considering how long i've been dancing salsa. heh. Normally i just watch one or two and I get bored. lol. Anyway, i came across this video which i thought was pretty cool...(will vote it as my fav video for the night). I think they did a great job in fusing the two types of dances together to make it entertaining and interesting throughout the whole performance. Enjoy!

my first CPF letter

I received my first CPF letter today welcoming me as a member. dots.
I never knew my internship was contributed to CPF...

Argh! This makes me feel old........

the Bernese Oberland

Zm found a series of videos on youtube of Switzerland. And this is a video on my absolute favourite part of Switz, The Bernese Oberland. (yesh, it is the place you hear me swooning about whenever i think of the Schweiz. I can still remember almost every scene in this video) If you plan to go to Switzerland for a holiday, this area is a must-go! bare min. is 2 nights

it's been a long long while since i went socialing with bf. the event at dxo was entertaining, and i think it's my first salsa event that i have attended! (aside from ladc ones) So hopeless right? Getting permission to go out at night (i.e. outings which involves me going home after 12midnight) is just "argh!". It's so bad that sometimes i rather not go through the hassle.

well as usual, i didn't dance much considering that erm.. well.. people just don't ask me to dance in general :P But think bf enjoyed himself, so that's nice :) Plus we started the evening with leisure tennis with my sis (who is getting back her stroke from all that Austrailian Open watching :P) and ended off with supper at Jalan Kayu... so nice evening as a whole.

I took the extra effort to bring my camera last night so that i can snap pics of us, considering that we're graduating soon? But silly me. not used to snapping i guess, didn't take a single shot.
sigh. i miss my nice camera phone. miss taking random shots as and when i feel like it.

oh well. time to do homework. I've a lot cuz i've been avoiding them. crap.

finally made contact with her again.



hope i can go this thurs.

and hope she will be going down too. :)

Jan update

i know i've promised manda to update my blog quite some time ago... but i realised it's been quite difficult! haha. NOthin much to blog about... or perhaps i'm a bit rusty. Well.. guess i just start with updates.. haha. hopefully it will get better as the weeks go by..

• finally done with my hr internship at philips! haha.. i honestly didn't learn much there, especially since my bosses never seem to be around. I think for one month, it was a matter of them giving me a task to do without instructions and i will just have to fumble around it. Many of you might be thinking: "you can't possibly expect instructions all the time" or something like that. But honestly? i seriously don't feel comfortable editing employee's salary or performance rating profile in a way I deem suitable. On the other hand, there were perks to the internship: the peeps were nice, I made a friend or two (the only young peeps i could find in the company), food at toa payoh is cheap and good (yesss... i sound auntie here) and of course the $$! (though i don't think i've been paid yet)
• Week 4 of school is approaching.. and for some weirdo reason, even though i'm only taking 3 modules, i feel as if I just had my heaviest week 2 and 3 ever! I seem to have lots of weekly hw to rush.
• I finally had a talk with rabbit after so long. I guess the whole saga is finally over.. and i think we're both glad. i know the cow is glad too. lol. Unfortunately, the rabbit is back in sg with not so good news.. just hope he manages to be fine even though things are pretty crappy for him now.
• Skyped my dear manda twice! although we kept getting cut off! *pout* It was somewhat nostalgic to use skype again, bringing back the exchange memories.... i was using skype more than msn then.
• Dance is stressful but super satisfying when i get it right. Looking forward to the item, but also praying damn hard that I can get it. STRESSSSSS... For the first time, i'm actually asking my non-SMU friends to go watch me perform. lol. stress factor level up! just hope i get to perform in the first place! want this quite badly... (bf... help?)

okiez. tt's all i can think for now.. sleeping time :P
